2 more days at 80 mile beach.

We liked this place a lot & so decided to spend 3 nights here. Went fishing off the beach & caught bugger all, while people around us were pulling in fish. A drive on the beach was pretty nice & afternoon naps in the A/C were not hard to take. Back on the road tomorrow heading for Port Headland & continuing our southerly meander. We are watching the temperatures closely & by the time we reach Carnarvon the weather should be a lot cooler & more pleasant.
Since we left home a month & a half ago every single day has been fine & sunny. I guess we can't complain but a little cooler weather will be very welcome.

Driving on the 80 mile beach.

Our site at the 80 mile beach caravan park.

Me trying to provide a fish dinner.

Ther must be one with my name on it out there somewhere.

Some fresh bait should do it.

More hard work, its not easy being the providor.

The market in the caravan park had 3 stalls.

A Vietnam memorial near the beach. See the helmets with a bayonet stuck through the top, on top of the posts. That would have been painful.

We stopped for a while on our drive for a bit of unsuccessful fishing.

Yvonne just keeps collecting more & more shells.

Disappearing in the distance, with her bag of shells.

There were no kangaroos on the beach, but on top all the other things that bite in the water, as I was standing ankle deep fishing, 5 sea snakes slithered right past me in the shallow water.

Great white hunter catches massive fish for a clan feast. (actually I threw it back)

A small part of Yvonnes' enormous shell collection.
