The time here in Darwin has flown. There is a lot to see & do here. What we have seen, we have seen. What we have not we won't. We are off to Litchfield national park tomorrow. Some pics of the last 2 days follow.
Nightcliff, Northern Darwin.
We again came across the Dansies having a coffee on the cliff at Nightcliff. So we joined them & had a coffee as well. We did not pre arrange this, it seems that no matter how far you are from home you will come across someone you know.
In front of our shady coffee spot.
East Point, the remnants of a wartime gun emplacement.
The remains of a much larger gun emplacement.
Inside the above concrete bunker.
Looking into the mall in Darwin city.
Some live entertainment at Stokes wharf.
The audience.
The same scene from across the swimming enclosure.
The crystal clear water emerging from the ground in the rainforrest at Howard Springs, 25K South of Darwin.
A large man made waterfall feeds 8 pools for children or adults who can't swim, in this hot climate it is a luxury.
The lake beside the above pool.
Bridge over the lake.
Very civilised barby area.
A clear creek meanders through the forrest.
Orange footed scrub fowl nest. Its really big.
This is the culprit.
And this is a real one on the track.
