It was rain. For the first time in 2 months we saw clouds in the sky & last night we had thunder, lightning, wind & rain but this morning brought another lovely day & very pleasant temperature.
Todays' highlight was a boat ride in a semi submersible boat with glass viewing panels, followed by a nice long snorkel session on Ningaloo reef. The reef starts here about 20 feet off the beach, much different to Queensland where a 2 hour boat trip is required.
There a lot of fishy pictographs today as we enjoyed this outing greatly. Unfortunately the tinted glass in the semi submersible did not allow you to see all the true colours of the corals & did not show the true clarity of the water, there were some especially nice blue tipped corals. Snorkeling however was a different story.
Tomorrow we continue to head South to Carnarvon.
Leaving Exmouth there were lots of cattle grids & other things.
Arriving at Coral bay in the heat of the day, the first item on the agenda was a swim. Notice the brewing storm clouds over the Indian ocean in the West.
Not much in the way of township at Coral Bay, but plenty of nice coast.
Our usual friends were there to greet us & we fed them left over chips from the previous night fish & chips. They loved em.
Just before sunset it was getting very dark.
An extra large home built teardrop, with what seems too many wheels.
They sky looked ominous & the wind was picking up. Quite a treat after seeing nothing but blue sky for the last couple of months.
A view of the outer reef break from atop a sand dune.
Looking out the boat window. I was looking back to see, if you were looking back at me, to see if I was looking too.
This fish looked a little grumpy.
The under water part of the semi submersible boat.
A random pictograph of coral.
I'm still watching you & I've brought some friends.
A fishy scene.
It was not easy to catch this fish & spray paint it.
Fish.
More fish.
A big white fish, me.
Performing under water ballet.
The view from above the water. Still more fish.
Endless fish.
Some fat dude with fish.
As above, Jo in the back ground.
Had enough fish yet. I couldn't get enough.
This is probably the last one, I did warn you.
A very handsome bald man.
Coral Bay camp. We have now traveled over 10,000k
